Roasted Red Pepper Hummus recipe


  • 15 ounces, weight Canned Garbanzo Beans, Rinsed And Drained
  • 2 Tablespoons Tahini
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Plus More To Thin Out
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic, Heaping
  • 1 whole Roasted Red Pepper, Cut Into Quarters
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Or Lime Juice
  • 1 dash Cumin
  • 1 dash Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Add the beans, tahini and the olive oil into a food processor and pulse until well blended.

Add the garlic, half of the roasted red pepper, the lemon juice, seasonings, salt and pepper to taste. Process again and continue until smooth. I use jarred roasted red pepper.

Taste and adjust the seasonings as you prefer. You can also add more garlic or another quarter of the red pepper.

At this point, you can slowly drizzle in additional olive oil as you need to thin the hummus. But only add one tablespoon at a time and process until your desired consistency is reached..

It’s your hummus now, adjust as you want and enjoy with your favorite crackers, pita chips or veggies!
